Dr William Oddie is Chairman of the Chesterton Society. He is a former editor of The Catholic Herald and Fellow of St. Cross College, Oxford. He has published of a number of books, including What will happen to God? (1984)—a study of feminist theology—The Roman Option (1995), John Paul the Great (2005) and Chesterton and the Romance of Orthodoxy: the Making of GKC (1874-1908) (2008). In 1991, having been an Anglican clergyman since 1977, he was received into the Roman Catholic Church.
