It is often said that God has a job for each of us to do and will equip us to do it. "May his innocence and his laughter, his constancy in fighting for the Christian faith in a world losing belief, his lifelong devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and his love for all men, especially for the poor, bring cheerfulness to those in despair, conviction and warmth to lukewarm believers and the knowledge of God to those without faith" This was Chesterton's vocation. If you do God's will to the best of your ability without flinching then surely God will not turn His back on you. Chesterton's sanctity is a fact. All we have to do is get it recognised. That’s it, in a nutshell.
